Cubes delivered in Amsterdam West

LEVS Mannourystraat1

For Maarsen Groep, LEVS designed the two residential buildings ‘Cubes’ at the square Koningin Wilhelminaplein, near the western garden cities. A total of 68 apartments, of which two thirds in the medium-rent sector, on top of a parking garage.

From the extra-large windows with beautiful light, you have a view of the green of the AUP, the Amsterdam Expansion Plan. With this transparency and the light materialization, the buildings radiate calm and openness and thus connect to the character of the western garden cities. The project is part of the urban design in which four volumes are lined up on a green mound. On the north side, the buildings are tight to the street. There the four-meter-high entrances are marked by an awning. The south side is characterized by the large staggered outdoor areas for optimal views and sunlight.
