Residential building Stepstone, designed forhttps://www.arcam.nl Lieven de Key, has been nominated for the Amsterdam Architecture Prize 2025 (AAP). This annual award, organized by Arcam, recognizes the most impressive construction project within the municipality of Amsterdam and encourages discussion about architecture in the city. Each year, a total of ten buildings are nominated.
Stepstone is the first social high-rise on the Zuidas, offering 216 affordable homes for young people. The building combines a compact and efficient housing concept with various communal facilities, such as a double-height lounge on the ground floor and a sports terrace on the roof. The tower features a classic composition, a light and open façade, and nearly all apartments include a private outdoor space.
The AAP’s professional and public jury will visit the nominated projects on May 23. The winner will be announced on June 11, 2025.
