Varied and affordable housing in Amsterdam-Zuidoost
26 June 2020
In the D-neighbourhood of Amsterdam-Zuidoost, LEVS designs 262 apartments for medium-term rent on behalf of SAREF and Ten Brinke Group. Affordable living is here not about small studios but about family houses with two, three and four rooms, varying between 65 and 90 m².
Several residential buildings with a great diversity of housing typologies form a new ensemble around a beautiful green court. Living and meeting are central to the design. As a developing contractor, Ten Brinke Groep has embraced the concept of a semi-public courtyard and LODEWIJK BALJON landscape architects are making the design for it. With three- and four-room homes for families, SAREF is actually putting the Amsterdam ambition for a diverse and affordable housing programme into practice. The permit has been applied for and the construction will start in January 2021.
