‘Klaasje’ luxury apartments officially under construction

The piles and pile-planking have already been placed; but only at the end of January, alderman Floor Gordon gave the official ‘go’ for the construction of 150 luxury apartments of the project Klaasje in Amstelveen. The new residential park with five urban villas near the town centre is very dense compared to its neighbourhood. And yet the buildings stand with their white brick façades serenely in the greenery. The height of each building is visually kept low by a change of materials on the third, fourth or sixth floor. Above that, the façades give the ensemble a warm atmosphere with bronze aluminium panels. The landscape in between the buildings, designed by BuroScope, is public greenery and flows seamlessly into the previously realized plan with three care home buildings. The completion of the urban villas with the chic names Jade, Ruby, Sapphire, Agate and Aventurine is planned for the end of 2020.
