At the forefront of the Groot Hartje project in Eindhoven stand four striking single-family homes. These residences mark the transition from high-rise developments to the smaller-scale architecture of Philipsdorp, reflected in their scale, color, materials, and design language. The façades feature two shades of green ceramic, forming a barcode pattern that, together with the sawtooth roofs, pays homage to Eindhoven’s industrial and high-tech heritage.
Located next to the Philips Stadion, along the railway, and atop the entrance to the stadium’s parking garage, Groot Hartje is a highly urban residential development. Designed for SDK Vastgoed and Amvest, the project consists of 264 homes within three robust residential buildings, offering both owner-occupied and rental apartments, as well as the Benjamin—a row of four single-family homes.
These buildings also enclose two shared green courtyards, creating a sheltered and inviting inner space for residents.
