Second place for Het Bastion

Het Bastion won’t be build. But the joy of our collaboration remains! Together with BPD, Land-LAB landscape architects and KBK bouwgroep, LEVS designed a striking architectural ensemble on the edge of the Purmerend city center; a waterfront diamond. This large volume along the Noordhollandsch Kanaal contrasts with the small scale of the center. But with street-level en-trances and throughways that lead into the collective courtyards, the design creates both a sense of intimacy and good connectivity with the wider area.
