Hartje Eindhoven, urban ensemble next to PSV stadium

LEVS has been commissioned by SDK Vastgoed to design an ensemble in ‘Hartje Eindhoven’ (the Heart of Eindhoven), with 266 (medium) expensive rental and owner-occupied homes with a commercial plinth. Three blocks, ascending in height, form an urban wall towards the rail track. The design also includes access to the parking garage of the adjacent PSV soccer stadium. The plan contains a large variety of housing types. An intimate inner area with a raised deck with urban farming and a communal park is pointed towards the existing buildings of Hartje Eindhoven. This creates an urban but relaxed living environment. The transition to the existing, small-scale Lijsterbes neighbourhood is achieved with a "knee" of four single-family homes adjacent to the building. The materialization and refinement of the ensemble are robust and warm at the same time. The start of construction is planned for the second half of 2020. Check out the project here.
